Leslie Royals, MS, PE, BCEE

Background

Leslie has eight years of service to the State Department of Health as a Regional Engineer, an Engineering Coordinator, and most recently as the Director of the Bureau of Public Water Supply. Prior to her employment with MSDH, she spent 11 years at the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality conducting permitting air and surface water quality compliance under the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act. Leslie is registered as a Professional Engineer by the Mississippi Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors and is board-certified as an Environmental Engineer by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers. She is a member of the American Water Works Association and the Association of State Drinking Water Administrators. She received a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, a Master's in Environmental Engineering, and holds a Certificate of Supervisory Management from the State Personnel Board.
