Social work is an integral part of our public health system in Mississippi. Social workers with the Mississippi State Department of Health work in a variety of positions throughout the state: county health departments, community agencies, schools and nursing homes.

- Psychosocial Counseling — to overcome personal and relationship barriers.
- Case Management — to coordinate services and care for clients.
