Continuing Education for prehospital personnel is defined as learning activities intended to build upon the education of prehospital personnel for the enhancement or practice, education, and administration to strengthen the quality of care provided. Mississippi Bureau of Emergency Medical Services approves education offerings for continuing education credits. Application must be made on forms provided by the Bureau of EMS.
Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS) is the national accrediting body for EMS continuing education courses and course providers. CECBEMS approved offerings are accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians in accordance with their guidelines. Offerings can be found at
