The Ryan White Part B Care and Treatment Division provides a comprehensive system of care that includes primary medical care, insurance assistance, medications and essential support services for people living with HIV who are uninsured or underinsured.

Ryan White Part B Services for HIV

The Mississippi Department of Health administers Ryan White Part B funding to provide essential HIV care services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Mississippi. Funding components include:

Insurance Assistance Program (IAP)

IAP offers insurance coverage for eligible (up to 400% of Federal Poverty Level) Ryan White participants. Insurance is ACA/Marketplace insurance coverage.

AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)

ADAP Provides medications to low-income, uninsured individuals with HIV/AIDS. ADAP helps Ryan White participants with out-of-pocket expenses by waiving co-pays and deductibles for ART and other medications when provided through the MSDH Pharmacy.

Ryan White funding serves as the payer of last resort.
