  [close]

Beginning in calendar year 2024, all eligible hospitals (including CAHs) participating in the Medicare Interoperability Program must be in active engagement to submit data to the AUR module.

Implementation Guidance

The National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) is the Public Health Authority for Antibiotic Use and Resistance (AUR) reporting. Eligible hospitals and CAHs register their intent with NHSN to submit AUR data and meet the Promoting Interoperability reporting requirement.  Eligible hospitals and clinicians will register intent to submit AUR data with NHSN.  NHSN will provide all CMS attestation letters and evidence required for attestation.

The resources below provide the steps, instructions, and FAQS related to registering and submitting AUR data to NHSN.
