Emergency Management Systems
The Mississippi Department of Health uses advanced emergency management tools to ensure an effective and coordinated response. These systems enhance the ability of healthcare providers and agencies to manage resources, track incidents, and communicate during emergencies.
EMResource
Resource Management System
A logistics system for healthcare facilities and emergency responders to track bed availability, medical equipment, personnel and other resources.
The system provides real-time updates on critical resources and facilitates better decision-making during emergencies.
eICS
Incident Management System
A management system to support incident command structures and facilitate coordination between response teams.
Ensures a structured and efficient response to emergencies, helping track progress and allocate resources effectively.
EMTrack
Patient Transport Tracking
A system to track the movement of patients and resources during public health emergencies.
Enhances the ability to monitor patient needs, allocate medical services, and track transport of patients to appropriate facilities.
These systems are crucial to ensure a well-organized, efficient and rapid response to health emergencies. By leveraging these tools, Mississippi can:
- Ensure accurate, real-time data for planning in conditions of rapid change/
- Optimize resource allocation to ensure that healthcare facilities and emergency responders are adequately supported.
- Improve communication and coordination between local, state and federal partners.
- Support the health system in both the response and recovery phases of an emergency.
Request Access to the Systems
Access EMResource, eICS, or EMTrack is by request. Healthcare facilities, emergency response teams and relevant agencies may apply for access.
