The Mississippi Department of Health Antibiotic Stewardship Honor Roll recognizes healthcare facilities in Mississippi that are working to improve antibiotic use, reduce antibiotic resistance, and improve patient outcomes by establishing an antibiotic stewardship program that meets the CDC’s Core Elements of Antibiotic Stewardship.

Our objectives:

  • To encourage commitment to antibiotic stewardship of all healthcare providers as well as healthcare administrators and leadership.
  • To provide incentive for antibiotic stewardship program improvement in individual facilities and statewide.
  • To publicize the importance of antibiotic responsibility.

Honor Roll Application

Currently, we are accepting applications from hospital antibiotic stewardship programs (acute care, critical access, long-term acute care). We will expand the program to include skilled nursing facilities in the future.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. The Honor Roll is updated with new facilities once every quarter. Approved applications remain valid until the end of the calendar year in which they are awarded.

  • All acute care hospitals are encouraged to apply.
  • Individual institutions within a healthcare system will need to apply separately to obtain designation for each facility.
  • If you have any questions about how to apply, please contact before filling out the application.
