Program: This is Quitting
This is Quitting is a free and anonymous text messaging program to assist the youth quit vaping. This is Quitting has helped nearly 500,000 young people to quit. Mississippi State Department of Health promotes this program each year by encouraging teens and young adults to text VAPEFREEMS to 88709 to enroll. Once they are enrolled in the program, they will receive messages from other young people like them who have attempted to, or successfully quit, e-cigarettes. The messages show the real side of quitting, positive and negative , to help young people feel motivated, inspired and supported throughout their quitting process. This service also sends young people evidence-based tips and strategies to quit and stay quit.
